First off, before we go any further, we'll get a small misunderstanding cleared up - although it's predominantly supermoto riders who turn up at the White Hart pub on Sundays, it's not a 'motard only meet. Having said that, we have to admit that we're quite happy with it being mostly us single cylinder loonies every week rather than it turning into just another 'police catchment area' as there are already numerous places riders of more normal bikes can go and get stuck in traffic while surrounded by enough coppers to police the FA Cup final...

Now, the White Hart (in Puckeridge, Hertfordshire), is surrounded by some of the very best tight, twisty 'motard friendly roads in the entire south east, which is why motarders have started to use it as a meeting place for their Sunday hoon. It may also explain why certain types of mainstream sports riders don't really ride these roads as there are few straights where they can hide their complete lack of riding talent - instead it's corner after corner ... perfect 'motard territory.

Rather handily, the pub also has a blocked off road next to it, that may be a bit too small for big sports bikes to play on but is absolutely perfect for 'motos to scream down on one wheel. Sliding the bike utterly sideways is also obligatory, too, otherwise you'll never stop before the gate if you do a decent wheelie.

We usually meet after midday on Sundays, and everyone's welcome - but if you don't turn up on a 'motard then expect everyone to try to convert you to the dark side...
