Honda CR500 - How To Turn A 'Crosser Into a 'Motard
As you can see, the rear caliper mounts directly onto the swingarm which makes moving it very difficult. It would be possible to grind off the original mounting points and then machine an RGV rear brake caliper mounting bracker to fit, but this would be a lot of work that would also require the fitting of a tension bar mounting point to the swingarm. As RGV wheels have, apparently, the same brake disc mounting points as GSX-Rs, it's more than possible a Gixer rear brake disc, that has an approx. 6mm larger diameter, can be bolted straight on thus removing the problem of having only 99% of the brake pad in contact with the disc.
